The normal Pro model comes with a 3x zoom camera and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as the top model, naturally goes one step further. 5x optical zoom up to 120 mm. Everything sounds good. We will take a closer look at what the camera can do in the test.The iPhone 15 Pro series is powered by the Bionic A17. The 3nm SoC brings more performance and efficiency than its predecessor. The smallest version of the Pro Max with 256 GB costs 1,449 euros. The 1 TB version then costs 1,949 euros (Pro Max or 1,829 euros (Pro). The new smartphones can be pre-ordered from September 15th and, according to Apple, they should be available a week later.iPhone 15 (Plus)At 6.1 inches, the iPhone 15 is the smallest of the new iPhone models. The Plus model is significantly larger and measures 6.7”. Both smartphones are powered by the Bionic A16, the SoC from last year. What is new for both models is that they now also have Dynamic Island. The notch successor was previously reserved for the Pro series .
The camera also offers 48 MP and a 2x zoom with three optical zoom levels: 0.5x, 1x, 2x. Also new: USB-C instead of Lightning port. Overall, the iPhone 15 models give the impression of being the iPhone 14 Pro in disguise – which isn’t a bad thing in itself.
