In addition to the design of the ASUS Zenfone 10, there is also information about the camera and the price of the upcoming small top smartphone. The ASUS Zenfone 10 is supposed to do a few things differently than the competition. Above all, it should have a handy display. However, other features that were abandoned by mega-corporations like Samsung and Apple should also find a home. Let’s get straight to the most important part: The display of the Zenfone 10 is said to be a 5.9″ AMOLED panel.

It should still be a display with a Full HD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. This would all fit, as ASUS had already used this combination of display data in its predecessor. The latest SoC is (probably) working under the hood of the Zenfone 10Inside the Zenfone 10, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core SoC will probably provide plenty of performance.

This is Snapdragon’s absolute top chip at the moment. In addition, the device should have 8/16GB of RAM and 256/512GB of internal storage.

When it comes to internal storage that would be a leap forward. The predecessor “only” relied on 128 or 256GB flash. The RAM would correspond to its predecessor. Another feature of the Zenfone 9 should also come to the 10 – the 3.5mm jack connection. A connection that many other well-known smartphone manufacturers have already given up.

Nevertheless, the Zenfone 10 is said to have an IP68 certification against water and dust.200MP camera comes from Samsung as the title suggests, the main camera in the Zenfone 10 is a 200-megapixel sensor from Samsung. There will also be an 8MP ultra wide angle. The front camera, however, should retain the 32MP of its predecessor.

All the technology shouldn’t affect the battery life too much. ASUS is said to have included a 5000mAh battery in the compact device. With the efficiency of the previously mentioned SoC, this should easily provide a day’s runtime. It will be colorful and affordable in terms of colors, ASUS will expand its palette a little.

According to the leaked marketing material, the Zenfone 10 will be available in black, gray, green, red and white/silver. I really like red smartphones – a little color in a world full of black and white is always welcome. The green also has its charm.

However, ASUS has already revealed the price itself. As part of a competition for the Zenfone 10, an RRP of around Kshs 90,000 plus will give you a brand new zenfone in Kenya.

The Zenfone 10 is one of the last of its kind. There are practically no current Android smartphones left that combine a compact design with very good features. Which is a real shame because devices like the Samsung Galaxy S10e were fantastic back then.

In the meantime, even Apple has given in and, after the iPhone 13 mini, has no longer brought a small smartphone onto the market. The new “small” standard is now 6.1 inches. That may not sound like much more than the Zenfone 10’s 5.9-inch, but in practice the difference in size makes a big difference.

Would you like more “small” smartphones with very good features and how much would you be willing to pay for them? Let me know in the comments!
