New Year, new Galaxy smartphone and a new Galaxy Book3 shouldn’t be missing. We have all the information about the new Samsung notebooks.

New laptops were also presented as part of the big Samsung Unpacked event. We have already tested various predecessor models (for example the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360) and have been quite satisfied with them so far.

Galaxy Book3 Ultra

When it comes to smartphones there is an Ultra, so there is now an Ultra model here too. And that’s really what it’s all about. Because for the first time you get a dedicated graphics card here. The options are the RTX 4050 and the RTX 4070. The models with RTX 4050 are powered by a 13th generation Core i7 and the models with RTX 4070 have a Core i9 as the CPU.

There is of course an AMOLED display with up to 500 nits, 120 Hz and 2880x1800px (WQXGA+). The connections also have everything on board that is useful to you in everyday life. You get 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, 1x HDMI 2.0, a micro SD card reader and a 3.5mm jack connection. With an RRP of up to 3,799 euros, an HDMI 2.1 port would have been nice.

Galaxy Book3 Pro 360

Like all other Galaxy Book3 models, here too there is a 120 HZ AMOLED display that is up to 500 nits bright. The resolution, you guessed it, is also 2880x1800px.
The connections are 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, 1x HDMI, 1x microSD card reader and a 3.5mm jack connection.

Galaxy Book3 Pro

For the normal Pro model – without a foldable display – there are two screen sizes to choose from: 14” and 16”. Otherwise, Samsung also uses high-contrast AMOLED technology with a resolution of 2880x1800px, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and maximum brightness of up to 500 nits. The ports should also look familiar to you: 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, 1x HDMI, 1x microSD and 1x 3.5mm jack.

If you prefer a convertible but find the Pro models a bit too expensive in terms of price, Samsung also has the Book3 360 available. You can choose between a 13″ and a 15.6″ AMOLED touch display, which has a Full HD resolution and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. For your peripherals you get a Thunderbolt 4 port, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen1, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, 1x HDMI 1.4b, 1x microSD card reader and a 3.5mm jack connection. A lot can be done with this.

And then of course there is the normal Galaxy Book3. At 1,099 euros, this represents the entry level into the new Galaxy Books. You get a 15″ display and a current 13th generation Core i5. 16GB of RAM is also decently sized.
