This compact device is the powerhouse among PoE switches. It offers PoE according to the 802.3af/at standard on all eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with up to 30 watts per port and a maximum total power of 140 watts.

This means you can operate multiple devices such as access points, IP phones and surveillance cameras at the same time by simply connecting them using an Ethernet cable – without any additional power supply.

PoE

The DGS-1008MP has eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that support the PoE+ protocol or the IEEE 802.3at standard. Each of the eight PoE+ ports delivers up to 30 watts for a maximum total PoE power of 140 watts. PoE is particularly useful for devices that do not have a power outlet nearby or to save additional cables.

Convincing performance

No configuration is required and installation is quick and easy. Support for automatic MDI/MDI-X on all ports eliminates the need for crossed cables when connecting another switch. The automatic adjustment present on each port detects the connection speed of network devices (10, 100 or 1000 Mbps) and ensures compatibility and optimal performance. The switch is designed without a fan, so it works silently in any area of use. Through zero-speed filtering and store-and-forward transmission, the DGS-1008MP ensures maximum network performance while minimizing the forwarding of incorrect network packets.

Energy saving

DGS-1008MP switches feature both D-Link Green 3.0 technology and IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce operating costs without compromising performance or functionality. Using D-Link Green technology, the switches continuously monitor the connection status and network usage of each port. The switches also automatically detect the cable length and can reduce the transmission power for shorter cables. By using EEE-enabled devices on the DGS-1008MP, companies can significantly reduce power consumption as unused ports are automatically put into sleep mode.
