Proven ThinkPad quality

We apply the US Department of Defense military standard MIL-STD 810H to ensure a balance of reliability and durability for our ThinkPad notebooks. We test devices to 12 standards and subject them to more than 200 quality checks to ensure they perform under extreme conditions. These tests include harsh environmental conditions such as the Arctic wilderness and desert sandstorms, including temperature, pressure, humidity, vibration and more.

Good for the environment

Lenovo takes sustainability seriously. We are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. This makes us the first PC and smartphone manufacturer and one of only 139 companies with a net zero target validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). For the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, this means using a low-temperature soldering process and a case C made from 90% recycled magnesium. We use 98% recycled plastic in the speaker housing, 25-30% recycled plastic in the battery housing and 90% recycled plastic in the power supply. The packaging is completely plastic-free.
